COURSE DESCRIPTION:
18 Continuing Education Hours (16 Hands on, 2 Lecture)

This Lymphatic Drainage class will cover :
-The history of Lymphatic
-How the lymphatic system works
-The purpose of the lymphatic system
-The main nodes of the lymphatic system
-The lymphatic watersheds
-Principles of superficial lymphatic draining for optimal results
-Indications and contraindications for lymphatic drainage
-How to perform lymphatic drainage to the face and neck
-How to perform lymphatic drainage to the upper body and upper body extremities
-How to perform lymphatic drainage to the lower body and lower body extremities
-How to incorporate lymphatic drainage into a massage

The class is 90% hands on. At the completion of the 2 day class, the student will be a certified lymphatic drainage therapist and will receive 18 NCBTMB CE hours.

Supplies needed:

4 Sheets
1 Blanket
1 Hand Towel
2 Face Craddle Covers
Thong for hip work on Day 2
A Strapless cover for females

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Dr. Jordan has been a chiropractic physician since 1981. He is a certified mind/body educator through the Chopra Institute and an acupuncture physician since 1999. Dr. Jordan co-owns Jordan health Clinic & Day Spa in DeLand FL with his wife, Mercedes Jordan. He combines massage and lymphatic drainage in his practice, along with chiropractic, acupuncture, nutritional and life-style counseling in an integrative approach. Dr. Jordan is past president of the Flagler-Volusia Chiropractic Society and a former director of the Florida Chiropractic Association. He has taught ceu classes since 1985, and presently teaches Lymphatic Drainage Certification.
